Statesboro ……..Kiwanis Fair is coming!
Statesboro and surrounding areas: Get ready! The Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair parade is planned for Monday, October 16th on Main Street in Statesboro. The Exchange Club of Statesboro is alsways there handing out our American Flags for the children. Come see the floats, bands, children dancers and more.
After the parade we are off to the fair! Take time to walk through the booths of local vendors and service organizations. They have so much to offer. The FHA booths show off the youth of the area, the livestock showings and the booths showcasing local businesses are always popular. Check out the Aldrich House, the live music, the petting zoo and much more.
Take advantage of advanced tickets for rides on sale at businesses around Statesboro. Or wait for wrist band night. Either way, you don’t want to miss the rides! Most of the adults who attend feel like a kid again as they walk around visiting and enjoying seeing kids laughing (and screaming) as they ride the rides. Roller coasters, swings, scarey houses or the big slide! Fun for all.
The Statesboro Kiwanians work hard all year planning and producing this for the Statesboro and Bulloch County area. They use their proceeds to give so many needy groups in our area as well as scholarships for high school students. The Brooklet group show up and help, too! When you see one of them, say thank you. Believe me, you can’t miss those yellow shirts and jackets. Also, take time to thank the first responders and the Bulloch County’s Sheriff’ Noel Brown and the officers.
The different fund raising booths will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers, cotton candy and much more! Don’t forget the Kiwanis’ pancakes and sausage. It is an annual affair. I plan to see you three! #hazelsellshomes
